For RetroPGF3 Brillando en Blockchain, an initiative launched by a task force of HER LATAM’s contributors, was awarded 21,367 OP, that is being streamed over the coming 90 days starting February 5th, 2024.

With the goal to continue supporting initiatives that the Core Team has learned through the past years can lead to greater inclusion of more Latin American women into the web3 space, the distribution of the funds received has been chosen by the HER LATAM Co-Founders as follows:

Governance offers an incredible opportunity for both technical and non-technical profiles to join web3 and participate in how decisions are made, technical developments are prioritized and, ultimately, shape the evolution and development of web3.
However, Governance is complex and organized learning resources and onboarding processes are scarce and complex. Based on our experience participating in Zuzalu, we believe that building a space in which people can immerse themselves and co-create in-person with others in this field can lead to a faster, painless and more efficient onramp into governance.

Funds for this initiative are being re-streamed into the following multisig: 0xD4D4fb19FB8FeF60F076f3De59df62C6f2eF926B
The signers in this multisig are trusted Delegates in some of the main L2 protocols that we hope to encourage more participation in who have accepted to spearhead the development of this Governance Builders House: Arbitrum, Maker, and Nouns. A delegate from Optimism is also involved in the development, however, to avoid Conflicts of Interest, she has chosen not to be a signer. None of the former members from the HER LATAM core team or governors are signers of the multisig, nor do they have any ownership or claim to the funds earmarked for this initiative.
The distribution of this 20% was weighted considering the following criteria:

For all of 2022 and the beginning of 2023, all incoming funds received by HER LATAM were destined to Scholarships and the Administrative needs to run Hacker Houses at different events.
To symbolically cover for all the work done by the governance team on early 2023 and late 2023 and early 2024, 12.5% of the funds have been equally distributed. This is a symbolical amount, meaning it does not reflect the total number of hours worked on this initiative to ensure that more of the funding can be distributed to local programs.
